CARACAS — D’oh! Venezuelan TV channel has yanked “the Simpsons” off the air because it may be inappropriate for children. Taking its place: “Baywatch Hawaii.”

I was saddened to read that Steve Irwin, the Crocodile Hunter, was killed today. Although I did think he was crazy, I tipped my hat to him because all he did was try to close the gap of fear between us humans and the animal kingdom.
