From My Life

Modern Miracles of Communication

When I was a boy, we listened to general conference on the radio; now with the use of satellites and modern electronic equipment, we broadcast from Salt Lake City to whole countries worldwide at one time . . . using downlinks to buildings all over the world. This came about because of the inspiration that [...]

My Kids Say the Darndest Things!

My son is very charitable. He is always sharing things with others, in a good way. Recently he asked if he could take a second drink to share with his kindergarten friend, I said that would be fine and he took two drinks to school that day. A short time later he asked if he [...]

Nice, Inspirational Video …

Here’s a video one of my bestest friends just created and posted to the Web. Beautiful music and presentation of inspiring pictures.

My Kids Say the Darndest Things!

Recently my wife was cleaning out her purse (read:duffle bag). My daughter who was close by — and was learning to talk — exclaimed, as some coins fell to the ground, “Some!”
True to her female nature she already wanted money, and she’s only one and a half!

Being Web Wise

The Internet is a big place; It can be a scary place too. That said, there is a lot of good that takes place on the Internet. Sometimes it’s nice to reminisce. Kool-Aid, surprisingly, brings me some good [...]

I Love Pizza!

I came across two articles on Yahoo! about pizza. Of course, I had to pass these along.
Article 1: A play-by-play (pizza-by-pizza) break down of the top national chain delivery pizzas.
Article 2: Regional pizza styles — it seems like good pizza only exists on the east coast?!
What’s your favorite kind of pizza? (Papa Murphy’s ‘Cowboy Pizza’ [...]

In the Rest of the Lord …

Today we laid President Gordon B. Hinckley to rest at the side of his eternal companion, Marjorie Pay Hinckley.
President Hinckley was the fifteenth president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the church of which I am a member.
I regard President Hinckley as God’s Prophet and the leader of His church in these [...]
